ServeTheHome Reviews the New Supermicro X10SDV-12C-TLN4F+

06 December 2016

Serve The Home extensively tested Supermicro's new X10SDV-12C-TLN4F+ and had nothing but positive words to say about the board, giving it a huge 9.5 out of 10 rating.

Recommending it as an ideal board for a compact and low power 1U appliance, the website was so impressed with the Supermicro that they finished by stating that if they were configuring a storage cluster today, this would be their go to board.

ServeTheHome concluded: "Overall, this is an awesome platform for someone looking at a compact, 1U appliance. The ability to fit 12 cores in a very short depth appliance with 2.5″ SSDs, a NVMe SSD (M.2), a PCIe 3.0 x16 expansion slot and built-in 10Gb SFP+ Ethernet is phenomenal. Overall, if this motherboard were available when we built the recent iteration of the STH hosting cluster we would have added several Supermciro X10SDV-12C-TLN4F+ node storage Ceph storage cluster."
