Supermicro a global leader in compute, storage and networking technologies, including green computing, has certified its complete portfolio of server and storage solutions to support the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform running on Linux. Supermicro is collaborating with SAP to bring its rich portfolio of open cloud-scale computing solutions to enterprise customers looking to transition from traditional high-cost proprietary systems to open, cost-optimized, software-defined architectures. To support this collaboration, Supermicro has recently joined the SAP global technology partner program.
Supermicro is offering SAP customers a wide range of certified solutions including high performance, rack-mount 1U or 2U Ultra SuperServers, 4 or 8-socket Multi-Processor (MP) systems, high performance, density optimized SuperBlade® and no-compromise 5th generation Twin architecture BigTwin™ computing solutions. Designed for enterprises that require the highest operational efficiency and maximum performance, all these Supermicro SuperServer solutions are ready for SAP applications based on NetWeaver technology platform such as SAP ECC, SAP BW and SAP CRM, either as application or database server in a two- or three-tier SAP configuration.
As more and more SAP customers are planning partial or complete transition from their current SAP infrastructure to SAP HANA or S/4HANA, Supermicro has certified its flagship Ultra SuperServer 2049U-TR4 for SAP HANA to help accelerate the migration and mitigate risks. Ultra SuperServer certification for SAP HANA is another step forward for customers who are at the beginning or in the midst of the SAP infrastructure upgrade journey.
